Dr. Gary A. Waugh

Dr. Gary A. Waugh has practiced dentistry for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, class of 1976. Graduating in the top of his class, he is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Waugh has enjoyed many years of caring for patients in a peaceful, caring atmosphere. In 2006 Dr. Waugh purchased a Cerec Dental unit which has allowed him to fabricate crowns, inlays, and onlays in-office. He has spent many hours studying and perfecting the technique to provide patients with ideal restorations of solid porcelain while they wait; eliminating the need for temporary crowns and second appointments. Dr. Waugh is a member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. Waugh received his Bachelors of Science degree in Animal Science, graduating with honors, from West Virginia University in 1966. In 1968 he received a Master's degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Virginia Polytechnical Institute. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force as an instructor pilot flying the T-38 Talon. Dr. Waugh was in active duty until entering dental school in 1973. He remained in the Air Force Reserves until 1979. Dr. Waugh is married and lives in Augusta, Georgia with his wife Joyce. He has two sons and four grandchildren.
